Jason Schneider is a lifelong photography enthusiast and leading expert on camera history. His area of interest ranges from early antique and classic film cameras to modern digital technologies. His literary education at NYU and its proximity to New York City camera stores provided all the elements needed for his vast work. He has written hundreds of columns on this subject for Modern Photography and Popular Photography - where he was Editor-in-Chief for 16 years. Most recently he appears as Senior Editor of Digital Imaging Reporter magazine. He has also appeared on numerous TV shows due to his wide-ranging wit and wisdom. His entertaining and informative columns were the basis for his three books on camera collecting, which have become the gold standard for general reference and interest in the subject.
